This old mill is below the bridge of Moret sur Loing. It is in bad condition. On the platform, three children are playing. On the bridge on the right, a character in front of a tree.

This plate was commissioned by Diétrich. There was a first printing by Delâtre of 30 proofs and 6 trial proofs. Boutitie reports a print run of 75 and 4 artist's proofs: this annotation may either be erroneous or indicate a reprint. In Moret] in the middle of the river and connected to the bridge, one sees small houses entirely abandoned and falling into ruin. These are old tan mills that should be urgently repaired. What remains of these buildings on the water cannot give an idea of the even more picturesque character that this corner of the Loing must once have had, when there was a whole complex of buildings with the Galaurin mill and its fragile footbridge (Viatte 1912, p. 107).
