On the stage in front of the ramp, a ballerina is wearing her arms: one leg bent forward, the other stretched backwards, the arms are carried forward. On the left the prompter's hole. A rose has been thrown on the stage.

Printed at 100 impressions and 10 artist proofs.

Final state, shadows reworked by sanding (?).

The annotated 1st and 2nd state BPL proofs differ less in the engraving work than in the printing. Print published by Lefèvre and Son (London). After the print run, the plate was trotted out in the upper corners and a few proofs were made, including the one in the NL.
