In the foreground to the left, two children are working on the mattress wool. Behind them, the father is operating the carding machine while two women are remaking a mattress. In the background, on the right, at the end of a passageway, two housewives are preparing a meal, while on the left, through the opening in a wooden fence, we can see a man and a woman talking in front of a shanty.
