Café-Concert Singer
etching (1913)
The singer, on stage, seen from halfway up and almost from the front, is dressed in a low-cut bodice with a point and straps. Her large hat, full of ribbons and ruffles, is worn far back. Her gaze is on her left while she flexes a long badine between her elbow-length gloved hands. The stage lighting casts shadows on her face and body.
2nd state, 115 mm × 92 mm.
Printed at 100 impressions and 10 artist proofs.
