With a lot of additional shadow work on the figures in the foreground, the animals, the cart. The bucket hanging from the cart's sideplate is now completely shaded with fine crosshatching.

Plate from the Cours de Route series edited by Barthélémy. The final state was printed at 10 artist's proofs on japan, 25 edition proofs on japan (1 to 25) and 50 on hollande (26 to 75) by Delâtre.
