The second state was printed with 3 state proofs before steeling, 10 artist proofs on japon mince, 15 edition proofs on japon mince numbered from 1 to 15 and 60 on hollande numbered from 16 to 75 by Delâtre for Boutitie. The fortresses located away from the front, like the one of Penthièvre, in the North of the Quiberon peninsula, or others on the islands of the West coast, like the Ré island, received some German prisoners.
