The plates date from the very beginning of the century, but as Geffroy's preface shows, the collection was only published by Pierrefort after the war, around 1925. 100 impressions were printed by Valcke, 20 on Japan and 80 on Holland, in addition to 5 reserved impressions on Japan. The copy n° 1 was specially printed for Gustave Geffroy with a double suite on old japan and on Van Gelder.
